“Voodoo Vixen is a vintage inspired label, which infuses retro, pin-up and rockabilly styles with classic silhouettes to flatter the modern woman.”
I love retro/quirky prints. Let me just put that out there. So when I was on a virtual shopping trip on Simply Be‘s site, I stumbled across this collection. My first ever purchase was a cardigan. I love cardys, mainly because I don’t like my upper arms.
I checked back from time to time, then WHAM!
Connie appeared before my eyes. I liked the fun print, the vibrant red and the unusual neckline! I was also unaware of the pockets until it turned up (always an added bonus for phone/lipstick etc). It is available in sizes L-4XL on Simply Be’s website. You can also buy the smaller sizes on Voodoo Vixen’s own website >>Here<<
This was my Instagram post of my Voodoo Vixen ensemble. I changed the belt, as I wanted something a little more sturdy than the one that came with the dress.
As for the fit, I kind of guessed. I looked at the size charts, but after reading online, apparently the sizing changed for the plus sizes. I went with a 3XL and I think it fits great. I am normally a 24 in most things, mainly due to the ample bosom. I like cleavage. And this dress does it well. It gives you a glimpse, but then almost hides it. It’s a cheeky number!
The material is great, and hangs well. (it’s creased in the pics as I ripped it out of the delivery packaging and changed into it at a rate Wonder Woman would be impressed at). It has some stretch to it, so you don’t feel suffocated.
And above all I am very impressed with the quality of the garment. And of course the cardigan.
I have had many compliments when wearing it.
I have also spotted two new dresses. One of which I bought tonight, and will review on here next week after it arrives *super excited*. Here is a sneak peak at pattern of the one I bought tonight:
